Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets forth the manner in which Future Path International, Inc. ("Future Path," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information obtained from users of the Future Path platform and services (collectively, the "Platform").

Future Path is dedicated to the protection of personal data and complies with global privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Policy.

2.1 Information Provided by Users. Future Path may collect personal information directly from users, including but not limited to:

​(a) Full name, date of birth, nationality, and contact information;

​(b) Educational history, academic transcripts, grade point averages (GPA), standardized test scores, essays, extracurricular             activities, and letters of recommendation;

​(c) Multimedia submissions such as photos, videos, and audio files;

​(d) College search preferences, academic interests, and scholarship eligibility.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically. We may also collect certain technical and usage information automatically, including:

​(a) Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device identifiers, and system information;

​(b) User behavior on the Platform such as visited pages, session duration, and search activity.

2.3 Sensitive Data. We do not seek to collect or process special categories of personal data (e.g., racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, biometric or health information). Users are instructed not to upload such information.


Purposes of Data Processing

Future Path may process personal data for the following purposes:

​(a) To operate and maintain the Platform, including user authentication and account management;

​(b) To facilitate the creation and sharing of student profiles with educational institutions;

​(c) To enhance the user experience through personalized features and AI-based profile recommendations;

​(d) To respond to inquiries, provide customer service, and communicate administrative updates;

​(e) To comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce Platform policies.


Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data (GDPR)

Where applicable, Future Path relies on the following legal grounds for processing personal data:

​(a) Consent — when users voluntarily submit information and agree to its use for specific purposes;

​(b) Performance of a Contract — when processing is necessary to provide services pursuant to our Terms and Conditions;

​(c) Compliance with Legal Obligations — where required by law to retain or disclose information;

​(d) Legitimate Interests  for internal operations such as security, analytics, and fraud prevention, provided that such   ​        interests are not overridden by user rights.

​Future Path does not sell, lease, or otherwise disseminate personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Future Path operates in the United States and may transfer data to jurisdictions that do not provide an equivalent level of data protection. Where required by law, we implement safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure adequate protection of transferred data.


Data Retention Policy

Personal data will be retained for no longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy or as required by applicable law. Upon user request, data will be deleted within thirty (30) days unless legal obligations require otherwise.

Subject to jurisdiction, users may have the following rights:

​(b) Right of Rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under the age of thirteen (13). Users aged 13 to 17 must obtain parental or guardian approval before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Any data inadvertently collected will be deleted promptly upon discovery.

This provision complies with COPPA and Article 8 of the GDPR.


Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Future Path uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience, perform analytics, and deliver relevant content. These technologies may include:

​(a) Essential Cookies — required for basic platform functionality and secure user login;

​(b) Performance and Analytics Cookies — to understand user behavior, measure site performance, and improve services;

​(c) Functionality Cookies — to remember user preferences and settings;
